A YEAR OF LIFE ONE FRAME AT A TIME

photography

.

I’ve been passionate about photography from an early age, starting with shooting film, developing it myself, and later transitioning to digital. At one point, I even considered pursuing a career as a photographer. The practice of taking pictures trained my artistic eye to be more sensitive to color, light, and composition, and taught me how to make creative decisions quickly and intuitively.

selection

.

This collection is a selection of images from that experiment. Every shot was taken on a smartphone and edited in VSCO app, often during my train commute to Ubisoft. The photos are arranged into mini-series based on subject matter or visual mood, with most images representing a single day captured in time. Presented from most recent to earliest, in a loose chronological order.

process

.

Between 2016 and 2018, I challenged myself to take at least one photo a day to practice light and composition, finding beauty in the ordinary moments of daily life during my commute to work and traveling.
